Journey to West (English version)

The first trip to the west and second chance as speakers in the GNOME Asia Summit
Call for Papers
first before traveling to the west or the opportunity to attend the event classmates GNOME Asia Summit as speakers i first do apply my presentation enrolment as speakers. I fill the overall formnya until and after I apply i get confirmation that paper i already received the committee. About me registering January last week.

Confirm Paper I received (yeeesss Journey to West)
Time awaited for approximately 3 week to get prompt paper i as the speaker was accepted by the committee finally came also, yes finally i open the email that I made to register the event. And finally I get the confirmation email that I get the chance to talk in the event GNOME Asia Summit 2016 in New Delhi.

The Day of departure to the West (New Delhi, India)
yes exactly 20 April 2016 I went to the west (India) for the first time. The journey to the west started from house to Juanda Airport. And at Juanda Airport is the starting point I went to travel to the west to give and get the Enlightenment. From Juanda take off vertically to travel to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia (2.5 hours) and transit for about 2 hours before you continue the journey to India. Keberngakatan to India started at the other hand Time Malaysia, which should leave at 7pm Malaysian time because something aircraft delay. The trip to India taken for approx. 5 hours and arrived in India at around 22.30 time India.

Arrive in India and E-TV
Yak before we travel to the west we must take care of the documents to be able to travel to the west. The document Visa. Many types of visas are regular and no electronics. For more details can visit the Indian Visa.
After until in India, the first time that we do is to Immigration for inspection and get stamps, if we already have a regular Visa we can directly into the queue passpor holders regular or all countries. If we ask the e-Visa / e-TV (electronic Tourist Visa) we must to queue e-TV and appplication coming.
E-Visa is itself only be only stamp that includes no Visa number and arrival date and time apply visa. Okay information stories or in short after this urus and quite quite some time refuses priority many and must be scanned biometric devices. Then we take baggage goods storage for support GNOME Asia Summit 2016 from the sponsor of the Indonesia i.e. shoes Fans. After take baggage we recently in currency exchange money changer in airport, James had to be done to be unable to Rupees and can taxi to the location of the hostel.

First Day Workshop
Event GNOME Asia opened with a ceremony of the Workshop divided into 3 (three) section workshop, including Make your first contribution was presented by Board Member GNOME Foundation Ekaterina Gerasimova, then continued Writing a GNOME applications for newcomers and the last technical session adaah hacking with Nirbheek Chauhan, Arun Raghavan with Gstreamer theme in your GNOME: a Hands-on multimedia hacking. From all the material kesemaunya attended by some elements from teachers or educators to students. And the participants of the enthusiastic to participate in the workshop. On the sidelines of the event is also section for tea break and lunch to give pause time of speakers and participants for the discussion about the workshop has been followed.

Second Day (Summit)
Second Day on 22 April 2016, the event at the core of the GNOME Asia Summit 2016 namely conference. On that day the event was opened with a welcome speech from GNOME Member represented by the Son of Li from China and Ahmad Haris from Indonesia and Local Committee represented by Syobha Tyagi. Then continued with a welcome speech from the Manav Rahna International University. Continued seminars are divided into several classes and previously opened with Keynote Speaker by Cosimo Cecchi one Member Board with the theme of the next billion GNOME users. After the event keynote speaker session there Lighting Talk before the event and after the seminar is divided into several classes, Lighting talk is a showcase of revealing the idea or sharing experiences of several speakers.
I get the chance to talk in the session Lighting Talk at the end of the first day before the event on the first day after the. Our staff carries the theme of “GNOME for Education“. I carries the theme because I wanted a collaboration between the community or talent development container of the talent with the world of education in Asia, so that students can participate in a contribution to the community that can cooperation with large companies such as Google. As well as the community can shape the character and skills of learners before the waterfall in the working world. And students get a good work experience in his contribution so that the learners are not directly there is a track record of useful experience in add portfolio learners.

Third Day
on the third day of the convening of the conference there are interesting topics including the use of the software open source misunderstood one Metal Roofing company in Indonesia that was presented by Iwan S. Tahari, in it companies use open source software to support the operation of the company and pressing the production cost to purchase the software license. And also the theme of FOSS in Indonesia Election submitted by Syah Dwi Prihatmoko. And at the end of the event was closed with the closing speech from the committee that represented by Shoba Tyagi, which in speechnya he uttered many thanks to Emily, Max, Estu that there has been a lot of help in organizing GNOME Asia Summit 2016.

Fourth Day
After trying to reach the Summit at the last day of this we invited equipments provided the same trip to Agra committee (red: Taj Mahal) yak trip to Agra began about at 6.00am for preparation and We went at 7.00am.The journey undertaken by about 4 hours via toll roads. In the journey we breakfast ala dishes South India. Short Story we arrived at Agra around 2 pm and before we go we must buy a ticket price around 1000 Rupees for foreigner.

Last Day in West
Jas. This is the last day of the us in India we check out of the hostel around 8 a.m. and want to move to New Delhi to change hostel create of my friends are my friends are from East Asia. The updated i make hotel we do the roads to India Gate taken with Metro. Before we buy a metro card around 150 Rupees and after the end of the streets we come back to the hotel to take goods and toward the Airport using the Metro to the Airport, ticket price around 60 Rupees.

Perjalanan pertama ke barat dan kesempatan kedua sebagai dalam GNOME Asia Summit

Call for papers

Pertama sebelum melakukan perjalanan ke barat atau kesempatan untuk menghadiri acara sekelas GNOME Asia Summit sebagai pembicara, saya pertama kali melakukan apply presentasi saya saat pendaftaran sebagai pembicara. Saya isi formnya secara keseluruhan sampai dan setelah saya apply saya mendapatkan konfirmasi bahwa paper saya sudah diterima pihak panitia. Kira-kira saya melakukan pendaftaran bulan Januari minggu-minggu terakhir.

Konfirmasi Paper saya diterima (yeeesss Journey to West)

Waktu yang ditunggu selama kurang lebih 3 mingguan untuk mendapatkan konfirmasi paper saya sebagai pembicara diterima oleh pihak panitia akhirnya datang juga, yak akhirnya saya buka-buka email yang saya buat untuk mendaftar acara tersebut. Dan akhirnya saya mendapatkan email konfirmasi bahwa saya mendapatkan kesemapatan untuk berbicara dalam acara GNOME Asia Summit 2016 di New Delhi.

Haii keberangkatan ke Barat (New Delhi, India)

yak tepat tanggal 20 April 2016 saya berangkat ke barat (India) untuk pertama kalinya. Perjalanan ke barat diawali dari Rumah ke bandara Juanda. Dan di bandara Juanda ini titik tolak saya berangkat melakukan perjalanan ke barat untuk memberikan dan mendapatkan pencerahan. Dari Juanda lepas landas untuk melakukan perjalanan ke Kuala Lumpur Malaysia (Perjalanan 2,5 jam) dan transit selama sekitar 2 Jam sebelum melanjutkan perjalanan ke India. Keberngakatan ke India dimulai pukul 19.30 Waktu Malaysia, yang seharusnya berangkat jam 19.00 waktu Malaysia karena sesuatu hal pesawat delay. Perjalanan ke India ditempuh selama kurang lebih 5 jam dan tiba di India sekitar pukul 22.30 waktu India.

Tiba di India dan E-TV

Yak sebelum kita melakukan perjalanan ke barat kita harus urus dokumen untuk dapat melakukan perjalanan ke barat. Dokumen itu Visa. Banyak tipe visa ada yang reguler dan ada yang elektronik. Untuk lebih jelasnya bisa kunjungi Indian Visa.

Setelah sampai di India, pertama kali yang kita lakukan adalah ke Imigrasi untuk pemeriksaan dan mendapatkan stempel, kalau kita sudah punya Visa yang reguler kita bisa langsung masuk ke antrian pemegang passpor regular atau semua negara. Kalau kita mengajukan e-Visa / e-TV (electronic Tourist Visa) kita harus ke antrian e-TV dan mengisi blanko kedatangan.

E-Visa ini sendiri hanya berupa stempel saja yang didalamnya ada nomor Visa dan tanggal kedatangan dan masa berlaku visa. Oke lanjut cerita atau singkatnya setelah selesai urus ini itu dan agak lumayan lama soalnya antriannya banyak dan harus scan biometrik. Maka kita ambil bagasi berupa barang bawaan untuk supoort GNOME Asia Summit 2016 dari pihak sponsor dari Indonesia yakni Sepatu Fans. Setelah ambil bagasi kita baru tukar uang di money changer disekitaran bandara, yak ini terpaksa dilakukan untuk bisa dapet Rupee dan bisa naik taksi ke lokasi hostel.

Hostel dan Istirahat yang dibutuhkan.

Yak setalah mendaparkan uang Rupee akhirnya kita pesan taksi, eh cari taksi dan akhirnya dapet taksi. Didalam taksi ini lumayan enak juga sih dan sopirnya lumayan bersahabat walaupun kurang lancar dalam berbahasa inggris tapi lumayan lah buat menemani kita yang sudah agak kecapekan. Sesampainya di Hostel Universitas Manav kita dibantu oleh pak sopir taksi untuk bertanya-tanya dalam bahasa Hindi (kalau tidak salah) setelah proses yang agak lama sampailah di hostel dan waktunya istirahat. First Day (Workshop)

Acara GNOME Asia dibuka dengan acara Workshop yang dibagi menjadi 3 (tiga) section workshop, diantaranya Make your first contribution yang disampaikan oleh Member Board GNOME Foundation Ekaterina Gerasimova, kemudian dilanjutkan Writing a GNOME applications for newcomers dan yang terakhir adaah sesi teknis hacking dengan Nirbheek Chauhan, Arun Raghavan dengan tema Gstreamer in your GNOME: Hands-on multimedia hacking. Dari kesemua materi tersebut kesemaunya dihadiri oleh beberapa elemen dari mulai pengajar atau pendidik sampai dengan mahasiswa. Dan perserta antusias untuk mengikuti workshop tersebut. Disela-sela acara ada juga section untuk tea break dan makan siang untuk memberikan waktu jeda pembicara dan peserta untuk diskusi tentang workshop yang telah diikuti.

Second Day (Summit)

Hari kedua tanggal 22 April 2016, acara inti dari GNOME Asia Summit 2016 yaitu konferensi. Pada hari itu acara dibuka dengan sambutan dari GNOME Member yang diwakili oleh Bin Li dari Tiongkok dan Ahmad Haris dari Indonesia serta Panitia Local diwakili oleh Syobha Tyagi. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan sambutan dari pihak Manav Rahna International University. Dilanjutkan seminar-seminar yang dibagi dalam beberapa kelas dan sebelumnya dibuka dengan Keynote Speaker oleh Cosimo Cecchi salah satu Member Board dengan tema The next billion GNOME users. Setelah acara keynote speaker ada sesi Lighting Talk sebelum acara dan sesudah acara seminar yang terbagi dalam beberapa kelas, Lighting talk merupakan ajang pemaparan ide ataupun sharing tentang pengalaman beberapa pembicara.

Saya mendapatkan kesempatan berbicara di sesi Lighting Talk diakhir hari pertama sebelum acara pada hari pertama usai. Staf kami membawakan tema tentang “GNOME for Education”. Saya membawakan tema tersebut karena saya berkeinginan adanya kolaborasi antara komunitas atau wadah pengembangan bakat-bakat yang dengan dunia pendidikan di Asia, sehingga peserta didik dapat ikut serta kontribusi dalam sebuah komunitas tersebut yang dapat kerjasama dengan perusahaan besar seperti Google. Serta komunitas tersebut dapat membentuk karakter dan skill dari peserta didik sebelum terjun di dunia kerja. Dan peserta didik mendapatkan pengalaman kerja yang baik dalam kontribusinya sehingga peserta didik tersebut secara tidak langsung ada track record pengalaman yang berguna dalam menambah portofolio peserta didik tersebut.

Third Day

Di hari ketiga penyelenggaraan konferensi terdapat topik menarik diantaranya penggunaan perangkat lunak open sosurce disalah satu perusahaan Metal Roofing di Indonesia yang dipresentasikan oleh Iwan S. Tahari, dalam paparannya perusahaan tersebut menggunakan perangkat lunak open source untuk mendukung berjalannya perusahaan dan menekan biaya produksi untuk membeli lisensi perangkat lunak. Dan juga tema FOSS in Indonesia Election yang disampaikan oleh Syah Dwi Prihatmoko. Dan diakhir acara ditutup dengan Closing Speech dari pihak panitia yang diwakili oleh Shoba Tyagi, yang mana dalam speechnya dia mengucapkan banyak terima kasih kepada Emily, Max, Estu yang sudah banyak membantu dalam menyelenggarakan GNOME Asia Summit 2016.

Fourth Day

Setelah berkutat dengan Summit dihari terakhir ini kita diajak nge-trip sama panitia ke Agra (red: Taj Mahal) yak perjalanan ke Agra dimulai sekitar jam 6 untuk persiapan dan berangkarnya sekitra jam 7 lebihan.perjalanan ditempuh sekitar 4 jam lewat tol. Dalam perjalanan tersebut kita sarapan ala masakan South India. Singkat cerita kita sampai di Agra sekitar jam 14.00. dan sebelum kita masuk kita harus beli tiket, harga tiketnya sekitar 1000 Rupee untuk foreigner.

Last Day in West

yak ini hari terakhir kita di India, kita check out dari Hostel sekitar jam 8.00 dan mau pindah tempat ke New Delhi untuk ganti hostel buat temen-temen dari Asia Timur. Setalah dapet hotel kita melakukan jalan-jalan ke India Gate yang ditempuh dengan Metro. Sebelumnya kita beli kartu metro sekitar 150 Rupee dan setelah selesai jalan-jalan kita balik ke hotel ambil barang dan menuju ke Bandara menggunakan Metro yang ke Airport, harga tiket sekitar 60 Rupee.

Menemui Pesan Error di PhpMyAdmin Setelah Upgrade?

Setelah kemarin lusa upgrade mesin, maka aplikasi database saya pun ikut terupgrade jadi versi yang lebih baik lagi. Habis upgrade saya coba jalalin phpmyadmin saya.

Memonitor atau Mengatur Service Linux di systemd

Setalah acara gnome.asia kemarin, ada aura tambahan untuk oprek dan mengupgrade mesin saya yang sebelumnya masih BlankOn 9 Suroboyo yang menganut paham sysvinit, mau saya upgrade ke BlankOn X Tambora yang menganut paham systemd.

Proses upgrade tersebut tidaklah berjalan mulus, masih ada beberapa paket yang konflik, semua jurus (ajaran bapak Azis dan teman2 pengembang BlankOn) kita kerahkan agar semua berjalan mulus.
